Congratulations Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania Awards Winners!
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (CCIR) organized in December 28th a special event - The Business Excellence Gala Awards- having as special guest the President of Romania Traian Basescu.
The world of business is increasingly competitive, due to factors such as e-commerce, globalization and ever changing economic climates. Romanian companies have to face new challenges in the context of accession to European Union single market.
The Business Excellence Gala Awards was launched in 2004 and is meant to celebrate business excellence through the successes and achievements and to reward Romanian companies with outstanding results and performance in business during the last 3-8 years.
CCIR awarded 42 prizes together with its partners: the National Association of Romanian Exporters and Importers (ANEIR), the State Office for Patents and Trademarks (OSIM), The Romanian Agency for Foreign Investment (ARIS), Junior Chamber and The Association for Women Entrepreneurship Development (ADAF), National Institute for SMEs.
The awards include eight categories:
· The Trophy of Excellence is the most prestigious distinction. It is granted to the companies that ranked first in the National Chart of Top Companies in the five previous years and recognize the exceptional economic and financial results, capabilitty, innovative spirit and quality of management: Somes SA, Romtrans SA, Coca Cola NBC Romania SRL.
· The Distinction of Excellence was granted to the companies that ranked first in the National Chart of Top Companies in the three previous years: Art-Deco Exim SRL, Billa Romania SA, Hidroconstructia SA, J&R Enterprises SRL, Congaz SA, Ductil, Equant Romania SA, Korsnas Packaging SRL, Metalrom SRL, Rosko Textil SRL, Tamiv SA, Vulturul Group SRL.
· Young Entrepreneur Award was granted by the Junior Chamber International (JCI) and CCIR to encourage the young entrepreneurs who proved real development and managerial capabilities. This year the winner was Marian Doru, general manager of New Design Composite SRL.
· The Special Prize for a Business Women was granted by the Association for Women Entrepreneurship Development to Irina Socol, general manager of SIVECO Romania.
· The Award for Significant Economic and Social Impact on Local Development was granted by Romanian Agency for Foreign Investment and CCIR to Schaeffler Brasov SRL as recognition of the important contribution of foreign direct investments to the economic growth in Romania.
· The Special Trophy for Innovative Entrepreneurship was granted by the National Institute for SMEs in cooperation with CCIR to the SME with the most prolific R&D and innovation activity to Transoft Informatica in transporturi SRL.
· Trophies for export performance were granted by the National Association of Romanian Exporters and Importers (ANEIR) in cooperation with CCIR as follows:
- Trophy and Diploma of Excellence to the companies that had been awarded by ANEIR for the eight years: Romtrans SA, Romenergo SA, Ana Imep Sa, Chircu Prod Impex SRL, J&R Enterprises SRL, Arcom Sa, Metalexportimport SA.
- Trophy of Honour to the companies that had been awarded the ANEIR Trophy for five years: Tehnoforestexport SA.
- Trophy of Merit to the companies that had outstanding results for the previous 2-3 years: Romanoexport SA, Stirom SA, Silvarom SA, Pasmatex SA, Simtex O.C. SA, Oltchim Sa, feper Sa, Chimexim sa, Best Foods Productions SRL.
· Trophies of Excellence in Creativity were granted by the State Office for Patents and Trademarks (OSIM) and CCIR in order to stimulate companies developing activities of industrial property protection (patents, industrial design, trademarks) as follows:
- Research & Education: ICPE Sa, Petru Poni Macromolecular Chemestry Institute, Gheorghe Asachi technical University
- Products & Services: Intermark SRL, Galmopan SA, Farmec SA.
